Wrong Thinking

Sometimes Right Thinking can be illustrated by showing what is Wrong Thinking.

What leads you to poverty is Wrong Thinking. What thwarts your good, godly goals is Wrong Thinking.

Why are some people successful and achieve their goals?

Is it that they have a better education? No. Thinking that is Wrong Thinking. Reading the annual Forbes magazine of the four hundred wealthiest people show that many of them do not have a college education, and some do not even have a full high-school education.

Is it that they have higher intelligence? No. Thinking that is Wrong Thinking. If success and wealth were dependent on higher intelligence, then college professors would be wealthy. We are familiar with stories of people with Ph.D.s who are homeless. We know of unemployed scientists and engineers. When we examine the world's wealthiest people, we find they have the same intellect as most of us.

Is it that they are luckier? No. Thinking that is Wrong Thinking. If they were luckier, why would many of those who inherit or win money soon lose what they have? You may say, "Because they didn't know how to handle it." You have got to admit that luck happens to every one in varying degrees, yet we instinctively admit, It's not the luck but how you handle it that counts.

Is it that they received an inheritance? Or won a lottery? No. Thinking that is Wrong Thinking. Fully eighty-five percent of the world's wealthiest people earned it themselves and did not inherit it. Most of those who inherit or win vast sums of money lose it, spend it, and otherwise live like those who have none.

It is wrong thinking to believe that to become wealthy you must get a higher education, have higher intelligence, be luckier, or receive an inheritance. That thinking will lead you to poverty, because regardless of how much you have, you will always assume you don't have enough education, intelligence, luck or rich relatives. You already have all you need to get all the success and wealth you wish.

You've heard the saying, "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer," implying that the rich get richer by robbing it from the poor. This type of thinking will keep you broke, because you consider yourself too good to rob the poor. It is wrong thinking to think that the rich get their money by robbing the poor. Ask a rich man where would he go to get a million dollars? Would he go to poor people or to people who have a million dollars? The rich get richer because they know the principles of success and they keep doing the same things over and over. The poor get poorer because they know the principles of poverty and they keep make the same mistakes over and over. There is a way that leads to wealth and there is a way that leads to poverty. You will obtain the destination of the path you follow.

You're heard, "The love of money is the root of all evil." Those people serious about their relationship with God sometimes think if they amass wealth, they are sinful. It is wrong thinking to think that God wants you to be poor. That kind of thinking will keep you broke, and it is both wrong and ungodly. I can only say on this page that it is wrong thinking and it is a misunderstanding of the Bible and of God. I will deal with it on a biblical basis in another place at another time.

It is wrong thinking to believe that wealth is limited. If you believe that for every extra dollar you have, you deprive someone else less fortunate of that dollar, then you will stay broke, for who wants to take food from the mouths of babes? Right thinking is to understand that wealth is unlimited. You could become the wealthiest person in the world and not deprive another person of one cent, because that is because of the way money works.

It is wrong thinking to believe there is class warfare. That will keep you broke. It builds a wall, keeping you from the very people who can help you succeed. It is a despicable tactic some politicians use to win the votes from the poor. If you believe them, you will stay broke. The wealthy people are not at "war." They're doing their business, plying their trade, and making a living. They will help others who seek it to do the same. They are not at war on the poor, helpless and defenseless. Every point listed above is an excuse somebody uses not to try. Wrong Thinking will keep you broke.

Right Thinking

What leads you to wealth and success is Right Thinking. Right Thinking will benefit you, your spouse, your family, and all with whom you come in contact.

Right Thinking is to realize that Wealth is Unlimited.

Right Thinking is to know that your wealth will both benefit you and benefit others. If you have money to meet your own needs and some left over, then you can give to others in need. If you don't have enough to meet your own needs, then you will give less or nothing to others in need. If you have the money to buy a car, and you do buy a car, then you have benefited not only yourself, but also the manufacturer of the automobile (and its employees), the owner of the local car dealership, and the sales person who closed the deal. That sales person will take his commission home and pay his bills, buy his food and care for his family.

Right Thinking teaches you that wealthy people want you to be wealthy. Who can buy a car if they don't have the money for a car? Who can buy a house or a computer or even clothes without money? The more money you have, the more you can spend and give to others. But on the other hand, what about those who have little or no money? What about those who need help and are on welfare and food stamps? Those who receive welfare receive it from those who have money. Hence, poverty is a drain and disaster on everybody, rich and poor alike, and wealth is a benefit to everybody.

Right thinking teaches you it is all right to provide for your family. It is not evil, sinful or wicked, to earn money and think of new ways to earn money in order to provide for yourself and for others.

Right thinking gives you permission and responsibility to obtain wealth.
