The Most Important Thing In LifeThere are many important lessons in life. However, if I'm pressed to give only one, then this is the single most important lesson that we should know and practice:
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
That is the single most important lesson anybody should know and do. We should put God first and foremost in our lives, and we should love our God before anything else. How do we love God? By loving our neighbor as ourselves. In that way everybody knows the love of God, when we love others. It took me fifty years to learn that simple truth. It may sound simplistic to you, but I urge you not to take fifty years before you learn that what I said is right, and you could have saved yourself fifty years of grief.
