Goals

The American Freedom Party has two goals, to secure the blessings of liberty and free enterprise to ourselves and to export these to every nation in the world.

The United States was originally set up to be free and capitalistic, but these are no longer guaranteed in this country and we are in danger of losing them both. New politicians and new laws are little by little taking from us that which was envisioned by our founding fathers, established by the constitution and held so precious and dear by American citizens. Some politicians do it ignorantly but others by design. We need to educate those who are ignorant and stop those who seek our destruction.

Liberty and Capitalism are not simply philosophies; they are they way things work. They are natural laws which we have identified and named. They are the way humans are designed to operate and prosper. At one time humans had a philosophy that the sun, moon and stars revolved around the world. We went to great efforts and study to adjust our lives to that philosophy, but eventually it all collapsed because it was false; that is not the way the universe was created. In the same way, we humans have developed a philosophy of economy and government called "Socialism," which is destructive to all who try it. Yet it is being implemented today, little by little, in the United States.

Few people of the body of citizens want socialism. Those who want it and fight for it are the ones who want to be the leaders of the socialist nation. They want to control the economy and culture. Few, in the body of citizens, want other people to control their own economy and culture. People generally want liberty and free enterprise for themselves. Yet, when they don't understand the concepts of liberty and capitalism, and when they are promised everything impossible, they people are deceived and embrace destructive habits, attitudes and laws. We all are in danger of losing that precioius gift from God, and that is what we want to secure for ourselves.

Nations prosper to the degree its citizens and economy are free. The greater the freedom, the greater is their prosperity. With poverty comes distress, depression, disease and disaster. People flee it, either by going to another country or by stealing what they can to get what they need. Governments will always secure itself first and then attempt to govern the people Therefore the agents of government seldom feel the same disaster of poverty as its citizens. When called upon to change their ways and benefit the people, they resist because each agent's own position is thereby endangered. The American Feedom Party seeks to export freedom and capitalism to all nations by educating the people of every nation.

The best, most effective way to export liberty and capitalism to all the world is first to secure it here by education and determination. Then we continue by exporting education to the world, to both citizen and government alike.
